Historically, price for a pack of 20 cigarettes in Rwanda reached an all time high of RWF 650 in 2014 and an all time low of RWF 400 in 2016. When compared to Rwanda's main peers, price for a pack of 20 cigarettes in Burundi amounted to BIF 1,600 , TNS 3,000 in Tanzania, UGX 2,500 in Uganda and CDF 850 in Dem.
