Pig iron production fell 3.13% to 691,415 kt in China in 2015, according to the National Statistical Office.
Historically, pig iron production in China reached an all time high of 713,748 kt in 2014 and an all time low of 34,170 kt in 1981. When compared to China's main peers, pig iron production in India amounted to 74,621 kt, 81,011 kt in Japan, 53,700 kt in Russia and 26,000 kt in USA in 2015.
