Historically, pharmaceutical consumption of antibiotics in Slovakia reached an all time high of DDD 29.1 in 2001 and an all time low of DDD 19.4 in 2017. When compared to Slovakia's main peers, pharmaceutical consumption of antibiotics in Austria amounted to DDD 9.30 , DDD 17.5 in Czech Republic, DDD 13.6 in Hungary and DDD 23.0 in Poland in 2018.
