Passenger cars per 1,000 people fell 0.287% to 19.4 vehicles in Nicaragua in 2015, according to the National Statistical Office.

Historically, passenger cars per 1,000 people in Nicaragua reached an all time high of 21.2 vehicles in 2009 and an all time low of 18.3 vehicles in 2005. When compared to Nicaragua's main peers, passenger cars per 1,000 people in Costa Rica amounted to 171 vehicles, 17.3 vehicles in El Salvador, 4.80 vehicles in Honduras and 217 vehicles in Mexico in 2015.
