Historically, paper and paperboard production in India reached an all time high of 10,964,000 kt in 2018 and an all time low of 194,100 kt in 1961. When compared to India's main peers, paper and paperboard production in Bangladesh amounted to 8,000 kt, 77,900,000 kt in China, 524,000 kt in Pakistan and 13,500 kt in Sri Lanka in 2018.
