Historically, number of teachers in primary education in Vietnam reached an all time high of 397 '000 in 2017 and an all time low of 204 '000 in 1981. When compared to Vietnam's main peers, number of teachers in primary education in Cambodia amounted to 51.5 '000, 6,527 '000 in China, 34.7 '000 in Laos and 413 '000 in Thailand in 2020.
