Number of manufactured cigarettes sold per capita of 15+ years old fell 2.35% to 1,091 per year in Germany in 2016, according to the National Statistical Office.

Historically, number of manufactured cigarettes sold per capita of 15+ years old in Germany reached an all time high of 2,391 per year in 1990 and an all time low of 1,091 per year in 2016. When compared to Germany's main peers, number of manufactured cigarettes sold per capita of 15+ years old in Austria amounted to 1,723 per year, 1,097 per year in Belgium, 841 per year in France and 1,279 per year in Poland in 2016.
