Historically, number of households in the European Union reached an all time high of 242 mil in 2024 and an all time low of 102 mil in 1990. When compared to European Union's main peers, number of households in China amounted to 513 mil, 56.9 mil in Japan, 57.5 mil in Russia and 134 mil in USA in 2024.
