Number of cigarettes consumed per day per capita of 15+ years old fell 2.20% to 2.94 per day in Germany in 2016, according to the National Statistical Office.

Historically, number of cigarettes consumed per day per capita of 15+ years old in Germany reached an all time high of 6.55 per day in 1990 and an all time low of 2.94 per day in 2016. When compared to Germany's main peers, number of cigarettes consumed per day per capita of 15+ years old in Austria amounted to 4.59 per day, 3.00 per day in Belgium, 2.27 per day in France and 2.93 per day in Poland in 2016.
