Number of cigarettes consumed per day per capita fell 2.09% to 2.69 per day in Luxembourg in 2016, according to the National Statistical Office.

Historically, number of cigarettes consumed per day per capita in Luxembourg reached an all time high of 5.03 per day in 2012 and an all time low of 2.69 per day in 2016. When compared to Luxembourg's main peers, number of cigarettes consumed per day per capita in Belgium amounted to 2.51 per day, 1.88 per day in France, 2.58 per day in Germany and 1.61 per day in Netherlands in 2016.
