Non-performing loans as a share of bank loans rose 0.028% yoy to 2.00% in Mexico in 1Q2025, according to the National Central Bank. This is 0.767% less than in the previous quarter.
Historically, non-performing loans as a share of bank loans in Mexico reached an all time high of 3.84% in 2Q2009 and an all time low of 1.67% in 1Q2006.
Mexico has been ranked 31st within the group of 51 countries we follow in terms of non-performing loans as a share of bank loans, 42 places above the position seen 10 years ago.
