Non-performing loans as a share of bank loans fell 8.75% yoy to 6.56% in Maldives in May 2025, according to the National Central Bank. This is 12.8% more than in the previous month.

Historically, non-performing loans as a share of bank loans in Maldives reached an all time high of 18.9% in June 2021 and an all time low of 5.79% in January 2025.
