Historically, net foreign assets in Madagascar reached an all time high of MGA 10,358 bil in 2024 and an all time low of MGA -581 bil in 1991. When compared to Madagascar's main peers, net foreign assets in Mozambique amounted to MZN 221 bil, ZAR 1,492 bil in South Africa, SZL 8.20 bil in Swaziland and TNS 10,555 bil in Tanzania in 2024.
