Net foreign assets rose 23.1% to MKD 282 bil in Macedonia in 2024, according to the National Central Bank.
Historically, net foreign assets in Macedonia reached an all time high of MKD 282 bil in 2024 and an all time low of MKD -13.6 bil in 1993. When compared to Macedonia's main peers, net foreign assets in Albania amounted to ALL 1,005 bil, BGN 90.3 bil in Bulgaria, EUR 76.3 bil in Greece and EUR 2.40 bil in Kosovo in 2024.
Macedonia has been ranked 60th within the group of 122 countries we follow in terms of net foreign assets, 24 places above the position seen 10 years ago.
