Net foreign assets rose 21.3% to EUR 1.81 bil in Montenegro in 2024, according to the National Central Bank.
Historically, net foreign assets in Montenegro reached an all time high of EUR 1.81 bil in 2024 and an all time low of EUR -0.694 bil in 2008. When compared to Montenegro's main peers, net foreign assets in Albania amounted to ALL 1,005 bil, BAM 22.3 bil in Bosnia and Herzegovina, HRK 21.7 bil in Croatia and RSD 3,143 bil in Serbia in 2024.
Montenegro has been ranked 114th within the group of 122 countries we follow in terms of net foreign assets, 31 places above the position seen 10 years ago.
