Natural gas reserves as a share of worldwide reserves rose 3.18% to 13.0% in Qatar in 2017, according to EIA.

Historically, natural gas reserves as a share of worldwide reserves in Qatar reached an all time high of 15.0% in 2005 and an all time low of 1.93% in 1984. When compared to Qatar's main peers, natural gas reserves as a share of worldwide reserves in Bahrain amounted to 0.049%, 17.9% in Iran, 4.60% in Saudi Arabia and 3.26% in United Arab Emirates in 2017.
