Mechanical wood pulp production rose 20.3% to 71,000 kt in South Korea in 2016, according to Faostat.

Historically, mechanical wood pulp production in South Korea reached an all time high of 229,000 kt in 1996 and an all time low of 18,800 kt in 1962. When compared to South Korea's main peers, mechanical wood pulp production in China amounted to 865,000 kt, 13,000 kt in Dem.
