Historically, maize production in Hungary reached an all time high of 9,315 kt in 2014 and an all time low of 2,737 kt in 1961. When compared to Hungary's main peers, maize production in Austria amounted to 2,114 kt, 639 kt in Czechia, 8,345 kt in Poland and 684 kt in Slovakia in 2022.
Hungary has been ranked 37th within the group of 152 countries we follow in terms of maize production, 14 places below the position seen 10 years ago.
