Historically, maize production in Kazakhstan reached an all time high of 1,130 kt in 2021 and an all time low of 111 kt in 1997. When compared to Kazakhstan's main peers, maize production in China amounted to 277,203 kt, 733 kt in Kyrgyzstan, 15,862 kt in Russia and 656 kt in Uzbekistan in 2022.
