Historically, life expectancy for females in Vietnam reached an all time high of 81.0 years in 2024 and an all time low of 56.5 years in 1955. When compared to Vietnam's main peers, life expectancy for females in Cambodia amounted to 76.4 years, 77.5 years in China, 72.0 years in Laos and 78.7 years in Thailand in 2024.
Vietnam has been ranked 44th within the group of 174 countries we follow in terms of life expectancy for females, 22 places above the position seen 10 years ago.
