Lentils production rose 2.52% to 252,283 tonnes in Nepal in 2022, according to Faostat.
Historically, lentils production in Nepal reached an all time high of 262,835 tonnes in 2020 and an all time low of 30,500 tonnes in 1961. When compared to Nepal's main peers, lentils production in Bangladesh amounted to 190,743 tonnes, 51.9 tonnes in Bhutan, 167,441 tonnes in China and 1,268,830 tonnes in India in 2022.
