Historically, lentils production in Syria reached an all time high of 180,720 tonnes in 2006 and an all time low of 22,293 tonnes in 1966. When compared to Syria's main peers, lentils production in Iraq amounted to 9.00 tonnes, 87.3 tonnes in Jordan, 1,291 tonnes in Lebanon and 445,000 tonnes in Turkey in 2022.
