Historically, expenditure of international tourism in the European Union reached an all time high of USD 411,095 mil in 2018 and an all time low of USD 168,289 mil in 1997. When compared to European Union's main peers, expenditure of international tourism in China amounted to USD 277,345 mil, USD 28,097 mil in Japan, USD 38,791 mil in Russia and USD 172,549 mil in USA in 2018.
