Historically, expenditure of international tourism in Malaysia reached an all time high of USD 12,442 mil in 2014 and an all time low of USD 2,160 mil in 1998. When compared to Malaysia's main peers, expenditure of international tourism in Cambodia amounted to USD 919 mil, USD 24,543 mil in Singapore, USD 11,579 mil in Thailand and USD 5,040 mil in Vietnam in 2017.
