Historically, expenditure of international tourism in Mongolia reached an all time high of USD 643 mil in 2013 and an all time low of USD 19.0 mil in 1997. When compared to Mongolia's main peers, expenditure of international tourism in China amounted to USD 250,112 mil, USD 1,769 mil in Kazakhstan, USD 582 mil in Kyrgyzstan and USD 27,653 mil in Russia in 2016.
Mongolia has been ranked 103rd within the group of 160 countries we follow in terms of expenditure of international tourism, 15 places above the position seen 10 years ago.
