Historically, expenditure of international tourism in Maldives reached an all time high of USD 347 mil in 2016 and an all time low of USD 41.0 mil in 1995. When compared to Maldives's main peers, expenditure of international tourism in India amounted to USD 19,184 mil, USD 9,932 mil in Indonesia, USD 23,838 mil in Singapore and USD 2,295 mil in Sri Lanka in 2016.
