Historically, expenditure of international tourism in Bulgaria reached an all time high of USD 2,602 mil in 2008 and an all time low of USD 312 mil in 1995. When compared to Bulgaria's main peers, expenditure of international tourism in Greece amounted to USD 4,211 mil, USD 7,172 mil in Romania, USD 2,000 mil in Serbia and USD 5,354 mil in Turkey in 2019.
