Historically, households' financial investments in Austria reached an all time high of EUR 234 bil in 2021 and an all time low of EUR 52.4 bil in 1995. When compared to Austria's main peers, households' financial investments in Germany amounted to EUR 3,221 bil, HUF 10,928 bil in Hungary, EUR 2,126 bil in Italy and CHF 1,578 bil in Switzerland in 2021.
