Household and sanitary paper production fell 41.9% to 29,429 kt in Bulgaria in 2017, according to Faostat.

Historically, household and sanitary paper production in Bulgaria reached an all time high of 51,810 kt in 2015 and an all time low of 9,000 kt in 1993. When compared to Bulgaria's main peers, household and sanitary paper production in Greece amounted to 51,000 kt, 106,439 kt in Romania, 54,000 kt in Serbia and 350,000 kt in Turkey in 2017.
