Hard coal production fell 43.8% to 26,838 kt in Ukraine in 2015, according to the National Statistical Office.

Historically, hard coal production in Ukraine reached an all time high of 122,031 kt in 1992 and an all time low of 26,838 kt in 2015. When compared to Ukraine's main peers, hard coal production in Poland amounted to 65,247 kt, 11.0 kt in Romania and 232,354 kt in Russia in 2015.
