Hard coal production fell 10.1% to 1,504 kt in Afghanistan in 2015, according to the National Statistical Office.

Historically, hard coal production in Afghanistan reached an all time high of 1,673 kt in 2014 and an all time low of 1.10 kt in 2000.

Afghanistan has been ranked 33rd within the group of 55 countries we follow in terms of hard coal production, 18 places above the position seen 10 years ago.
