Historically, hard coal production as a share of worldwide production in New Zealand reached an all time high of 0.001% in 2003 and an all time low of < 0.001% in 2015. When compared to New Zealand's main peers, hard coal production as a share of worldwide production in Australia amounted to 0.036%, 0.037% in Indonesia, < 0.001% in Malaysia and 0.001% in Philippines in 2015.
