Historically, gypsum and plaster production in Cyprus reached an all time high of 472 kt in 2015 and an all time low of 0.772 kt in 1972. When compared to Cyprus's main peers, gypsum and plaster production in Egypt amounted to 850 kt, 661 kt in Greece, 159 kt in Israel and 8,639 kt in Turkey in 2015.
