Historically, geothermal, biomass and other consumption in Hungary reached an all time high of 2,570 GWh in 2016 and an all time low of 7.00 GWh in 1998. When compared to Hungary's main peers, geothermal, biomass and other consumption in Austria amounted to 4,593 GWh, 4,754 GWh in Czech Republic, 7,817 GWh in Poland and 1,680 GWh in Slovakia in 2016.
