Historically, geothermal, biomass and other consumption in Hong Kong reached an all time high of 96.3 GWh in 2016 and an all time low of 81.9 GWh in 2014. When compared to Hong Kong's main peers, geothermal, biomass and other consumption in China amounted to 73,407 GWh, 917 GWh in Singapore, 2,048 GWh in Taiwan and 59.2 GWh in Vietnam in 2016.
Hong Kong has been ranked 50th within the group of 55 countries we follow in terms of geothermal, biomass and other consumption, 50 places below the position seen 10 years ago.
