Historically, fruit consumption per capita in Germany reached an all time high of 36.4 kg in 1968 and an all time low of 17.3 kg in 2016. When compared to Germany's main peers, fruit consumption per capita in Austria amounted to 31.9 kg, 17.3 kg in Belgium, 28.5 kg in France and 20.0 kg in Poland in 2017.
