Historically, foreign debt in Mozambique reached an all time high of USD 66,848 bil in 2023 and an all time low of USD 1,325 bil in 1984. When compared to Mozambique's main peers, foreign debt in Malawi amounted to USD 3,604 bil, USD 165,787 bil in South Africa, USD 34,598 bil in Tanzania and USD 29,029 bil in Zambia in 2023.
