Historically, foreign debt in Zimbabwe reached an all time high of USD 14,213 bil in 2023 and an all time low of USD 144 bil in 1976. When compared to Zimbabwe's main peers, foreign debt in Botswana amounted to USD 2,079 bil, USD 66,848 bil in Mozambique, USD 165,787 bil in South Africa and USD 29,029 bil in Zambia in 2023.
