Historically, foreign debt in Zambia reached an all time high of USD 29,546 bil in 2020 and an all time low of USD 814 bil in 1970. When compared to Zambia's main peers, foreign debt in Angola amounted to USD 57,032 bil, USD 34,598 bil in Tanzania, USD 14,213 bil in Zimbabwe and USD 11,067 bil in Dem. Republic of the Congo in 2023.
