Historically, foreign debt in Pakistan reached an all time high of USD 130,851 bil in 2021 and an all time low of USD 3,407 bil in 1970. When compared to Pakistan's main peers, foreign debt in Afghanistan amounted to USD 3,428 bil, USD 2,420,211 bil in China, USD 646,787 bil in India and USD 9,901 bil in Iran in 2023.
