Historically, foreign debt in Rwanda reached an all time high of USD 11,384 bil in 2023 and an all time low of USD 2.00 bil in 1971. When compared to Rwanda's main peers, foreign debt in Burundi amounted to USD 1,043 bil, USD 34,598 bil in Tanzania, USD 19,393 bil in Uganda and USD 11,067 bil in Dem. Republic of the Congo in 2023.
