Historically, foreign debt in Cameroon reached an all time high of USD 15,377 bil in 2021 and an all time low of USD 146 bil in 1970. When compared to Cameroon's main peers, foreign debt in Central African Republic amounted to USD 1,021 bil, USD 3,214 bil in Chad, USD 7,588 bil in Gabon and USD 102,482 bil in Nigeria in 2023.
