Historically, foreign debt in Chad reached an all time high of USD 3,724 bil in 2014 and an all time low of USD 35.2 bil in 1970. When compared to Chad's main peers, foreign debt in Cameroon amounted to USD 15,332 bil, USD 5,613 bil in Niger, USD 102,482 bil in Nigeria and USD 22,581 bil in Sudan in 2023.
