Historically, exports as a share of GDP in Kuwait reached an all time high of 0.850% in 1974 and an all time low of 0.169% in 1991. When compared to Kuwait's main peers, exports as a share of GDP in Bahrain amounted to 0.960%, 0.445% in Iraq, 0.268% in Iran and 0.360% in Saudi Arabia in 2022.
Kuwait has been ranked 41st within the group of 160 countries we follow in terms of exports as a share of GDP, 19 places below the position seen 10 years ago.
