Historically, energy use in kg of oil equivalent per usd 1,000 of GDP measured by constatnt 2011 PPP prices in Hungary reached an all time high of 141 kg in 1991 and an all time low of 61.8 kg in 2023. When compared to Hungary's main peers, energy use in kg of oil equivalent per usd 1,000 of GDP measured by constatnt 2011 PPP prices in Austria amounted to 51.6 kg, 74.2 kg in Czechia, 60.8 kg in Poland and 81.1 kg in Slovakia in 2023.
