Energy dependence in natural gas fell 4.55% to 75.6% in Serbia in 2016, according to World Bank / EIA.

Historically, energy dependence in natural gas in Serbia reached an all time high of 90.4% in 2009 and an all time low of 44.8% in 1994. When compared to Serbia's main peers, energy dependence in natural gas in Bosnia and Herzegovina amounted to 100%, 33.5% in Croatia, 78.9% in Hungary and 13.0% in Romania in 2016.

Serbia has been ranked 24th within the group of 31 countries we follow in terms of energy dependence in natural gas, 4 places below the position seen 10 years ago.
