Historically, eggplant production in India reached an all time high of 13,558 kt in 2014 and an all time low of 990 kt in 1961. When compared to India's main peers, eggplant production in Bangladesh amounted to 619 kt, 38,285 kt in China, 95.0 kt in Pakistan and 128 kt in Sri Lanka in 2022.
