Historically, distillate fuel oil consumption as a share of worldwide consumption in Iraq reached an all time high of 2.59% in 2015 and an all time low of 0.505% in 1986. When compared to Iraq's main peers, distillate fuel oil consumption as a share of worldwide consumption in Iran amounted to 4.63%, 0.575% in Kuwait, 5.72% in Saudi Arabia and 0.405% in Syria in 2015.
