Historically, distillate fuel oil consumption as a share of worldwide consumption in Sri Lanka reached an all time high of 0.293% in 2015 and an all time low of 0.064% in 1990. When compared to Sri Lanka's main peers, distillate fuel oil consumption as a share of worldwide consumption in India amounted to 10.8%, 1.71% in Malaysia, 0.048% in Maldives and 0.299% in Myanmar in 2015.
