Historically, crude birth rate per 1,000 people in the European Union reached an all time high of 18.7 births in 1960 and an all time low of 9.05 births in 2020. When compared to European Union's main peers, crude birth rate per 1,000 people in China amounted to 8.52 births, 6.80 births in Japan, 9.80 births in Russia and 10.9 births in USA in 2020.
